  1. wait. so the whole point to this video is just GO BUY NEW BRAKES. this video didnt show how to FIX brakes. lmao i appreciate the video but this was useless

  2. My bike is brand new, rode it last week for the first time and it did this :/ UGH. I'm thinking it was actually used and the store was just selling it as new, because it also didn't come with a manual.

  3. Got a chuckle out of this video. One thing you did not try, that I have had a lot of success with, is simply to reverse the left and right brake pads. I suspect that in a lot of cases something about the manufacturing process makes one of the two pads (not both) particularly noisy, but having them run in the reverse direction just "solves" the thing. I'd certainly try that before buying new pads. I find it works most of the time.

  4. My wife's brand new bike (Diamondback) with brand new pads started squealing like crazy after being transported on a rooftop rack for 500 miles. No idea why. Going to try toeing in the pads tomorrow.

  5. I guess it depends on usage but how often does someone replace their brake pads? I used my bike for three months and just ride locally on roads.
